1.  This time of year, the Chili Bar release schedule is based month-to-month on the apparent water year type, which in turn is based on CA DWR’s B120 report.  The B120 report comes out around the 10th of each month.  If the new water year type designation is different from the previous one, then (after a grace period of a couple of days) the Chili Bar release schedule changes accordingly.

2.  The current 2014 Report assessment  B120 report indicates a Super Dry water year, and the above release schedule reflects this scenario through the end of March 2015  However, if the March B120 report indicates a water year Below Normal or better, the schedule from March 10 or so onward will be different in some respects from the schedule shown above.  So be sure to check back around March 10 for an update.

3.  Times reflect releases at Chili Bar.  It takes approximately two hours for the water to travel from Chili Bar to Coloma, and three hours to Camp Lotus.

4.  Releases shown are minimum releases.  Actual releases may be higher than shown.  In addition, sudden higher or lower (or no) releases may result from emergency mechanical or electrical conditions.

5.  Users are urged to use caution and to wear all appropriate personal protective equipment.
