Whitewater Kayaking

Whitewater Kayaking can be done in mild moving water all the way up to fast steep and technical class V+.   Whitewater kayaking is not a difficult sport to learn, you take it as far as you are comfortable and enjoy, but it does have a few challenges when you first get started.   Kayaking is not so much challenging physically as it is mentally, anyone can learn to paddle but confidence in your skill and mind over matter when it comes to precise moves around hazards can limit how far you take the sport.   Initially if you can move past the fears driven from realization that “YES the boat does tip over!” & ” YES you do need to get out or right yourself”,  then most people find this sport highly rewarding with a new found confidence.
We strongly recommend you take a lesson when starting into whitewater kayaking, it will be well worth the $ spent and help you move into the sport at a faster pace once you have the basics.
