Adidas bought Five Ten to fill out their brands in doing this they acquired the coveted Five Ten climbing rubber “Stealth Rubber”.  Stealth Rubber is ultra sticky grips to rocks including slick granite like no other substance, great for climbing shoes and is a fantastic sole on river shoes.   I had been drooling over the marriage of Super sticky rubber to a well built shoe which Adidas is know for and NOW it is finally here: The Ultimate kayak shoe

Jawpaw Lace:

The Climacool Jawpaw Lace has a breathable outter layer with a comfortable EVA foam tongue.  This upper layer is made from open mesh nylon for the awesome breath-ability and quick drying.  The midsole has the Adidas Drainage System  which is metal mesh formed into the sole of the shoe keeping gravel and water out of the shoe.   The water-specific outsole features STEALTH® five ten rubber which as said before is incredible at gripping slippery rocks along the rivers edge.

Awesome all around Water shoe, for the quick hike, and constant in and out of the boat.  These shoes are quick dry, offer excellent drainage, come in a assortment of colors and are comfy.  No five ten rubber here but if you want that upgrade to the Jawpaw described above.
